Diagon Alley is a bustling cobbled street that hosts a number of mysterious and wonderful shops for witches and wizards. Harry discovers some of these on his first visit with Hagrid.
Harry is able to buy everything from his Hogwarts list at Diagon Alley and it is also here, from Eeylops Owl Emporium, that Hagrid buys Harry his pet owl, Hedwig, as a present for his eleventh birthday.
